Has anyone had any experience with the Wrebbit wood Mercedes not the cardboard one.

Alas...I have been tantalized by it many times, but have so far not taken the 'plunge.'

Looks like the sort of thing Don Stauffer might have encountered; maybe he'll weigh in with something useful.

I know nothing about it, but it peaked my  interest.  I have built Hudson Miniatures kits- even have one in stash, and Ideal wooden kits.  Tell me more about this kit- is it still available?  I have scratch built a number of cars from wood, but have not seen a wood car kit in ages!

Don it's 1/10th scale all wood comes in a nice wooden box when built about 24" long. I can figure out how to add photos but if you google wrebbit wood Mercedes there are some photos.

Gee!

I didn't know they did a wooden one .I have done the (paper?) Cardboard one and came to a dead stop at 90%finished .The hood would Not fit right after building it and letting it dry in the jig they provided . I checked the jig with Aluminum can sheet and it came out all right .But this is Cardboard and looked so good I wanted to be a purist.

I am trying to match the finish on the outside of the hood and will re-do it so I can say finished to it ! .
