Remember when Daytona Nascar ran the track and the beach back when they got started?

Nice two for one on that one.

Very cool Pat.  I recall reading somewhere about beach racing in California.  Must be a fun experience without paddles on!

Thanks,

John

PatW

I have built this as both a road and TROG (The Race of Gentlemen Sand/beach race) car.

So with fenders/wings and windscreen for the road............

And as an old-timers beach racer (TROG)......Fenders and windscreen removed and a tonneau cover over the passenger seat.................

It's cool ! From a practcal standpoint that engine must love to eat sand though ( air filters ?).

Boy, the stuff I don't know never ceases to amaze me...

I hadn't heard of TROG, the website is awesome.

I love the model, great story too.
