1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Drag Racer Is Completed
Posted by Mr Mike on Friday, May 10, 2019 9:42 AM

This is my '90 Mustang LX 5.0 Drag Racer.  It is painted with Testors Star Spangled Blue with a grey interior, seat harnesses from Scale Motorsports, cheater slicks from the Polar Lights '65 Dodge Coronet 500 Convertible kit, modified exhaust system.

Zounds, Mr. Mike, that's a real beauty!

(Love the 'speed trim' accent stripes on the sides.)

Not sure that little wing would give enough down-force, though, once she gets crankin'! Big Smile

Looks great, Mike. I especially like the paint as well. Nice to see the Fox Body get some love!

The fox body is one of the most prolific drag car platforms out there.  Well represented.  I like the tach and the fenderpull CAI.  Magnaflow exhaust is a really cool touch.  I had that on my charger before switching to Corsa.  Very cool!

Thanks,

John

Thank you guys!

I think that little wing is designed to produce downforce and speed!  Simular to  the DRS (Drag Reduction System) on a Formula 1 car, where the flap on the spoiler goes down and the car gains a little extra speed.
