either way will likely take as much work as the other, so do which ever you feel most comfortable with. Please add pictures once you start.

us

For better or worse we are thinking about building the parts from our 1/8 lindberg Big Red Rod to use for this scale chassis

Use the drivetrain parts:

Motor,trans,driveshaft and rear end.Plus wheels(rims and tires).

They are tall slicks in rear but close enough.Just design it for same size wheels but it will sit a little high in the back.Maybe pickup two complete wheels off Ebay later.

Thinking this over.Could just make dummy parts from wood blocks.

Have bag of blocks and some foam sheets to make wheels.

Decisions decisions.

Progress report.

Have 1/8" x 1/8" balsa sticks now.

That's 1 inch square tubing in 1/8 scale.

Will post updates.

Still working on plans and sketches.

In the design stage.

'Easier to fix things now than later.'

Have the bottom perimeter roughly layed out.

Will post CAD drawing of it in a bit.
