Thanks Rob for your info. Yes the other kit shown in Tim Boyd's build up in this month's Scale Auto Mag is the yellow version and looks very good.

I've also just looked at two different Rubicon kits.

This was one of my favorite car kits of my childhood. It was molded in yellow back in the day, and had an eagle on the hood.

I actually was looking for this very kit on eBay, but it was going for collector's prices. Instead I found the newer Jeep Rubicon kit and decided to buy it and paint it yellow to look like my original kit.

Thanks Tanker-Builder, sorry about the muddy finish I'll make a point of washing them next time! Yes in all came in blue plastic so I just polished it! I'm now looking for the all yellow one!

Thanks guys, there were a few small niggles but easy to fix if you changed the build plan. The kit comes in two colours, this was all blue plus chrome and windows, doors, roll bar, decals and solid top. The other is all yellow with no doors and a full cage with top, jerry cans, winch, and extra lights. But all the spares/extra's come in both kits.

So I used parts from each and tyre decals from the stash box.

The Revell decal is the sort that you find at the bottom of most decal sheets that is normally discarded.

I've never built a Jeep, I hope that was as much fun to build as it looks.

Nice work. I gotta get anothr of these. I do wish tho that Revell would include stock size wheels and tires in their 4x4 kits.
