Thank you Brandon!  There is something about the Bubbletops that appeals to me.  Must be the roofline...

Thank you Rocky500!  I wished I still owned my '70 Duster 340!  If I knew then what I know now...

I'm very late catching up with this thread and it brought back some great memories.

Super job on the model!

I owned a real 1961 back in the day. It had the power-pac engine with dual exhausts and a Hurst on the floor.

Ha! I just noticed the license plates! Very nice touch!

Thank you Bruce and rangerj!

What did you use for paint?

I used Dupli-Color Light Metallic Blue on the body and the interior.

Very nice build. I had a buddy who had a light green convertible with the matching interior and the 409. Those old tires didn't last very long. Great memories. What did you use for paint?

Thank you Bruce!  This was a first issue Lindberg kit with the improperly shaped cowl.  The newer kits have the correctly shaped cowl and it is now released by AMT.  Funny, that song never entered my head during the build!

Very nice build! I really like the color you chose.

Which manufacturer is this?

And now I can't get the Beach Boys 409 out of my head! lol!

Indeed. Nice work, Mike.

I like the color a lot. It is so classic.
