Hi;

  I would have to say " Ditto " to Pawel's suggestion. I never, ever, put the glass in till I am ready to close it up. T.B.

Hello!

With that clear coat - I'd say it's best to get the decals between two layers of clear coat, so put one coat under the decals and one (or more) over them - I got nice results doing it this way:

With autos your best bet would be to paint the body first, and install the glass later. Clear-coating the glass usually fogs it, so don't do it.

Good luck with your build and have a nice day!

I prepare the body first, paint,decals, clearcoat, Masking the interior whilst spraying clearcoat to ensure glue works when attaching the windows etc to the interior.

Then when the chassis is complete attach the body.

Remember , common sense is not common.

Porsche GT2-What to do next?

Hi there.

Ive done a couple of airplanes in the past but never taken it that seriously so when it came to decals there were only a couple and I put them on top of the paint without doing anything else.

I'm currently building a Porsche GT2 with a lot of decals. I've painted the body with Tamiya spraypaints and really pleased with the results as a first try, but now unsure what do do from here to get the best results. Do I apply a clearcoat then the decals or apply them first then a clearcoat after?

Also do you put the windows in then can go over with a clearcoat or does this have to be done afterwards?

Thanks in advance

Greig
