Yes, the Huracan was my first Pocher. As you know, that is a very recent kit that they still make and sell. I had done a great deal of research on Pocher kits and was aware that there were multiple eras (and part-owners) for the company. I looked at a number of the classic kits (Mercedes, Alfa's, Rolld Royce, Fiat, the Bugatti, etc.), but it was obvious that these kits were in a completely different league from a complexity and detail standpoint and I wanted to start with something more simple. I looked at the middle era kits like the Testarossa, the F40, and the 911 Carrera, and I really wanted the F40, but when I looked at completed kits on the internet I was surprised at the build quality. At the time of my purchase, there was one F40 kit for $2400 and a Testarossa for $1299 which were both over my budget and neither seller would budge.
I could have gotten a current Aventador, but having built the Huracan already, thought that was bordering on redundant.
At the very least, I was of the impression that all Pocher kits had die cast bodies and at least the current level of parts quality. I was wrong. Going forward, I will avoid the middle era Pocher kits unless the prices drop significantly. Meanwhile, I will using my best skills with this kit to make it the best I can.
