Ford never built a speedster, they were the period hot rods built mostly by soldiers returning from the war out of mix and match parts on the cheap, but some of the craftsmanship was amazing. Putting in the early OHC engines, better breathing carbs, lowering the chassis, and more streamlined bodies generated some of the early dirt track racers.
I've been working on one in my garage now for several years with a 1915 engine with starter, 1917 fenders, 1918 chassis, and the usual minimalist body. Note there are no seat belts, they can be quite exciting to ride in when you don't have a steering wheel to hold on to...
