This looks like an "Eddie Miller Special"!
He was a frequent FSM contributor and would do CRAZY kitbash stuff on planes. Insane stuff...and SUPER inventive - dude had a great imagination!
Can't wait to see what you come up with - it looks very cool so far!!!

Cheers, LeeTree

Interesting project and i like your thinking. Not sold on the headlights, i would have went more of a F40 shaped light right at the tip of the fender, but maybe that would not have fit your time period. it's your model, do you own preference.

littletimmy

Not trying to "Nit-Pik", I love where your going with this.....

But, it has more of a "Bugatti" look to it. ( not their newer garbage, but their older stuff. )

Can't wait to see more of this. BTW: What are you going to call it ?

EDIT: Oops... sorry. Had I bothered to actually read the entire title to this thread, I would already know the answer.

.........( too many paint fume's floating around in my brain I guess ) ....

yeah - I hear you on that. Problem is that I don't have any Bugatti badges, but I do have two sheets of really nice Lambo ones (logs and emblems) so I sort of have to go with the Lambo angle.

Dont worry about the thumbprint, paint it Rust , and call it "Battle Damage"

One of my favorite Batmobiles, although the base kit isn't very good. Nice project.

This is a very intriguing build. Stealing your basic idea for the Steampunk GB.

Lamborghini Pipistrello Spider.... 1989 batmobile turned into a Lambo concept
Posted by BuildingCars4Fun on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 10:22 PM

UPDATE (24 Feb 2020)

I thought I had completed the body... shape coming up nicely

added headlights...

but so many people have pointed out that the big air-intake looks wrong, that I have decided to do something about it. So while I was about ready to lay down the base coat... its back to the chopping mat and watch this space!

ORIGINAL POST

My current project is turning one of the classic batmobile cars from the 1989 movie into a Lamborghini concept car, which i am calling the Pipistrello (italian for Bat).

I have chopped off the wings off the rear, opened all the vents, covered all the gun turret holes etc, taken off the roof (its goingo to be a spider).

I've also sourced some sport seats and new rims as well - here are some initial mockups post the first coat of primer as well.

here is one with the rims but pre primer.

Still lots of work to do on shaping the body - I'm going to add embedded headlights on the front, and some rear-view mirrors. So a long long way to go to ge this super smooth.

Will keep you posted!
