I think you just have snotty decals. I know that one too. Goop comes out that is gummy.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

Tamiya decals thick adhesive

I'm building the Tamiya Lotus 102b.  Kit is more than 20 years old.  I know all about Tamiya thick decals. But as I layed these down, there seemed to be gel-like layer (adhesive) between the decal and surface.  At first I thought it was water, but squeege-ing it out with a wet swab or brush, moved it around.  Some actually squeezed out along the edges of the larger decals making a snotty mess that was so hard to clean off, that I've just started on new body shells.  Length of soaking times didn't affect it.  I use microsol and microset which brought the edges down but some decals still had an uneven surface.  I've ordered some Tabu decals and will se how that goes.  Am I missing something, or do something wrong?  First result like this I've ever had.  I put on several coats of AlClad Aqua gloss but it didn't hide the snot.
