Thanks guys!  I must admit that I am not a fan of black.  While it does look sinister, black just doesn't show like a colored car (red, orange, green, yellow, etc.) should.  You can stand back and look at a colored car and see the curves and the lines of the car.  Black, even though the bodywork needs to be perfect and the paint applied perfectly, hides a lot especially in the dark.

I watched the show back in the day. The only screen I remember about the show was stingray was tailing another car within the city, the guy jumps out of the vette and attaches a multipurpose light bar with a variety of lights and he would use a different head light setup when turning blocks..

I think this is the first C2 I've seen painted black. It is stunning. What a gorgeous car. Well done, Sir!!

Good-looking Stingray, Mike.

I'd also never heard of the show, thanks for the link to the intro.

I wonder were it not for the show, who would think of a black Stingray? It does look pretty cool.

Thank you Keavdog!  The show was on for only two seasons, so little is known about it.  Here's the link to the opening credits.

This is my '65 Corvette from the 1985 "Stingray" TV series painted with Tamiya TS-14 Black and rebuilt with a wired engine.
