Hi Ya'll;
This is about the car from Supernatural. A 67 Chevy Right? Well, not to pick nit, but it's so wrong. I looked the body over carefully before I started the build. Well, first off Y' all know what the base of the " B" pillar means? Right? There is supposed to be a slight valley there between the roof and the fender top edge. Where'd it go? It sure wasn't on my car!!
Now the second irregularity. Did Ya'll catch the Boo-Boo on the front fenders? The fender cap angle should almost ( note; I said Almost ) match the angle of the hood, Yup, they are round as looked at from the side. Next irregularity: Look at the hood. Carefully now. What's wrong there? The power Bulge Portion is supposed to continue down the front. Granted, not as a standout feature but to give a more continous line to that contour! Ain't there!
Lastly, and most importantly. Look at how deep the window trim goes into the frame area. In a miniature of this scale that distance from the outer surface of the car to the glass should NOT be that deep. The inset of the glass looks to toy-like!
Be careful too around the Wheel opening surround. It almost totally disappears on my sample on the rear fenders Both Sides! It should be a thin line of chrome going all around and sticking out enough to put foil on without a problem. Ain't happening! You may have to work those out too.
All in all a lot of innacuracies for a touted much needed model. I wish they would do a four door 72 Buick Electra 225 ( The famous " Duece and a Quarter" ) That was such an imposing and noticeable four door. And do it right. Speaaking of four doors. In closing, I would like to see someone in the "Woody" vein do a really nice FORD Country Squire Wagon!
