Thanks guys for the positive feedback. The stuff on top of this 426 hemi engine is all aftermarket: Fireball Resin Holley carbs, Detail Master distributor / plug wires, throttle linkage and velocity stacks and the fuel lines, fuel filters and fuel junction scratch made using 0.4 mm solder and Evergreen styrene. The extension springs are cut from a stretched medical grade guide wire (used in cath labs) that I "borrowed" from my employer before retirement in 2016.

Agreed! Great detail on the engine. Were these parts in the kit, or did you go to the custom engine shop?

I had fun knocking out this ancient 1/25 Lindberg kit for the '64 Dodge "Ramchargers" super stock hemi while I was building the previously posted '61 Pontiac. I think this was an early '90's re-pop kit with ancient yellowed decals that I was hoping to salvage after bleaching them in the window for a few weeks. I masked and painted the "Candimatic" red stripes and so glad I did. The original decals were crazy brittle/ unusable and so I had to resort to 'plan B',eBay sourced replacements which were not accurate (wrong dealer sponser) but the best I could do. This is about the fifth 426 max wedge or hemi engine that I've detailed with Fireball resin Holley carbs/ PE/ homemade throttle links and fuel lines and a Detail Master distributor. I'm still not tired of doing these. The after market aluminum carb air funnels (velocity stacks) are not accurate but look so cool and actually fit under the drilled out hood/ scoop. Forgive me if I build and post more of the same engines in future SS builds...

I'm hoping to assemble a scale museum collection of 15-20 early super stock drag cars from '61-'65, Mopars, Fords and GM's, and am about half way there. Cheers, John
