Update: First off: Thanks, Mike! Second, we just turned over the last of the stories to design today, and we're already starting to see the layouts come back for those we turned in back at the beginning of January. This is when we can start to see how the SIP is going to feel, decide on an overall aesthetic approach, and start nailing down the revised cover. These models are SUPER HOT and the more I look at these contributors have done, the more excited I am about it. Just extraordinary modeling how-to techniques and advice. TK

Hey all!

I'm bopping in to say that the new FineScale Modeler Building Muscle Cars, Restomods, and Pro Touring special issue looks amazing. We've been furiously editing the stories and they are heading into design at a steady pace. I know there have been some questions floating around about how much of the material is repurposed from old issues of Scale Auto magazine. The answer: None. All of the content is completely new. We have stories from Tim Boyd, Mark Jones, Bob Downie, Jeff Bloomhuff, Marcos Cruz, Tom Valenta, and Claude Thibodeau, all of whom Scale Auto readers will recognize.

I'm incredibly proud of this special issue, and it shows incredible modeling techniques useful not only to car modelers, but scale modeling in general. And the models are killer. My hope is that it will become a must-have resource in every modeler's library.

If you're interested in taking a look at it, here's a link to the special issue on the Kalmbach Hobby Store

Thanks!

TK
