AndyZ

I'm looking for 1/24 scale. I think I'll go for the Heller 2CV, there's a lot of these on eBay.

As for the DS19 all I see is a couple Ebbro kits but they're over $100. Thaks for the tip on 1001Hobbies, I have only been buying on eBay since it's the only place where I find most of my old classics that I like(Monogram and Johan 1930's).

The Revell kit I just posted a pic of IS 1/24.

Revell do a 1:24 in good detail.  There is a build on youtube if you want to review before committing.

I have built a lot of different Citroën cars,  Tamiya and Heller 2CVs are excellent. Revell Charleston looks great, too. I have not built my kit. I have built Ebbro DS, 2cv pick up truck, and Citroën van. All are good models but latter two are curbside. Heller makes a Citroën van that is not curbside which is in my stack of to do. The Ebbro DS models are really beautiful, fully detailed and excellent fit and quality.  Hope this helps you.

Andy:

    What scale do you want your DS-19 in ? I found them on line at 1001 Hobbies in both 1/24 (Heller) and 1/16 (Ebbro. Heller also has the DS-21.

That's a really nice job you did on the Revell kit, makes the decision harder, I was going for the Tamiya but I grew up building Heller, Monogram, MPC, IMC, etc. so Heller, Tamiya and Revell are still in the running for the one to buy. The DS19 kits are over $100 on eBay, that's not going to happen.

I was lucky;

 When my foster father bought a D.S.19 the salesman gave me the kit to build. Neat model. Until recently I haven't seen the 2C.V. anywhere but 1/35

Best Citroen kits - 2CV and DS19?

Has anyone out there built a kit of the Citroen 2CV or Citroen DS19? I'm looking for both, have found that Tamiya, Revell, Heller and Gunze all have made the 1/24 scale 2CV. I've built from all of these brands and even though I always found Tamiya to be the best overall, the other three all have their good points. As for the Citroen DS19, I have only seen very expensive Ebbro and a rare 1/24 Heller kit, lots of these found only on eBay. Anyone built these? thoughts on best one? places other than eBay to find them? (I'm in Canada). I've always loved the vintage kits and yes, I pay a lot of money on eBay but where else do you find these? Certainly not the hobby stores in my area.
