This is my 1947 Chevrolet AeroSedan that I finished in April for a local show. Was my first time ever entering a show, I had a lot of time in to this build, probably close to 100 hours. Its a Galaxy Ltd. kit which is a great kit, tons of details and options, very little clean up and nice fitment, I was slightly obsesseve with the fitment being as how I was entering it.
I painted the two tone body in Tamiya TS-7 Racing White and TS-87 Titanium Gold, topped of with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear. The interior was painted with Tamiya acrylics, a custom mix of a few shades of tans. The carpet is flocking from Kens Kustom FuzzyFur and Baremetal foil around all the window trims (first time ever with Baremetal foil). Added some plug wires as well.
The kit offered a lowered suspension height that i shaved a little more off of trying to get it to drag frame. The theme of the show was "Bomb" style (30's to 60's American cars, restored lowrider style). I didnt too as well as I had hoped in the contest but still had a great time and learned a lot for my first time. Heres some pics, hope you enjoy!
Thanks for looking guys, Im pretty proud of this one. Still have a long way to go until Im as skilled as some of you guys here but not too shabby for only being back in the game for 6 months or so, this was only my 4th build since coming back in December.
