For a moment I thought you'd stumbled onto a model of the new star of the silver screen in Tehran...

My two most recent awesome finds were a Moebius Iran Man model kit for $1.99 and a Monogram B-26 bomber for like $2.99.

Iron Man was started but complete and nothing done that I couldn't undo and the Marauder was in pristine shape, just in a junk box. I can easily turn around and sell it for $25+.

That particular Iron Man kit sells for $75 + $10 shipping on eBay. I don't intend on selling it and wouldn't even think it would get anywhere close to $50 if I did, but it was quite a deal. These kits were around $40-50 when new in 2008. I have the chrome plated Mark II version I got on clearance long ago and that one is like $75 if you can find one.

   Hi Ya'll:

As you know, I have said in the past I DO, go to Flea markets. My favorite one,( Where I have a Lot of friends) Is Bussey's, Just off I-35 going to San Antonio! Well, I went there yesterday and Surprise! Surprise! I ran into four retired fellow servicemen I had served with!

That certainly gave the day a certain twist! So, as I am moseying and looking I spot something out of the corner of my eye. I stop, Back up and stare at what this one vendor has.  It's in a Checkerboard rimmed box

This is what this post is really about! Round Two-AMT Kit-834/12= 1967 G.T.350 Shelby Mustang ,The one molded in the real Shiny black! It is partially started, Not bad But Not experienced . The Upper and lower side scoops on the body.Glued very carefully( No glue showing and the parts are on straight!) The Engine and Chassis are also in stages of assembly. Careful but bad color choices for the parts. The Only BAD part was the clunky gloppy red paint in a narrow and wide stripe on the Hood, Trunk and Body and front and rear valances.

Rebuildable for sure .But, the Black one! And all the glass is perfect and unnattached. Price? Five Bucks! I had a good day. I don't know what the kir sells for, but the other two I haven't built are molded in White for one and that Light Grey for the other! The Black one was desired because I found out you can polish the heck out of the plastic. Put on the decals and clear-Coat this puppy(Mist-coats) and it will look real in a photo.

So you see, don't avoid Flea Markets, But, remember Buy models not Fleas!
