Niclas,

Thanks for the tutorial. Sorry it took some time to get back to you. Life is going to make this a long long build. I am now sure I can't live with the stock product and will have to try your approach. It will just take a little longer! Patients is the elusive ingrediant . Your work is masterful and the car begs for this treatment.

Thanks John

Thanks guys, it's allways nice with feedback on the work.
Here's a link so you can see what a Co-axial cord/cable is, I got mine from a local electronic's dealer. But with some luck maybe you can find it an old computer or TV-set. After peeling of the insulation I pull out the interior contents to get the shield empty and ready for use.

Some measures: Plastruct hex-rod is 1,5 mm and the solder is 0,8 mm, the thin wire desides how thick you want the hose to get. But the size of solder and hex-rod differs from time to time depending on the real subjects location and size.

Proosen, awesome tutorial. I was wondering what size hex rod and solder did you use. Im not exactly sure what coaxial chord is, where can I find it? I thought about using some guitar string that I have laying around instead, it looks pretty realistic.

I'll put up a tutorial as soon as I get some time to spend in my workshop as thoose are scratchbuilt by myself. By the way, where have you found the references? If you have some useful links nobody would be happier than me. The pictures I have leaves huge gaps in my knowledge of the car, by the way I also have the McLaren/hulme-car so I will have to get some MCW McLaren orange or some equivalent hue.

Niclas,
Hey, great photos! Thanks for the heads up about your site.
I have a question.......where did you get the AN/DF fittings for the oil lines on the AM McLaren M8B? They look great. I've got one of the AM kits (with McLaren/Hulme decals)and have been gathering reference material before the build starts - and these fittings will be of great help when I start the build.

Cheers, LeeTree

Here's an adress to my on-line photo's. There's not much on the M8B 'cause I haven't got so far in my build yet, but maybe I'll get some work done on it now that you started yours Smile [:)] I must say that I got that McLaren-itch again. http://niclasproos.fotopic.net/

Happy modelling!
