Motorcycle Chain

I'm afraid it's back in the box for the time being. Micro Mark is not sold here in the UK, so as a pensioner I'm wary of the cost of import. Although I know a kit is much bigger they  are now charging a premium to ship to the UK of around $50!

looking through the latest Micro Mark catalog reminded me that they carry authentic looking chain.  They give the link length-you  might measure how well that would work for 1:9 scale.

Bummer Pat.  Bikes are pretty fragile.

Thanks missileman2000, but the kit has crashed but not burnt. I harsh wind blew into my cabin workroom last week and the bike is in bits! I've gathered it up and boxed it, for the time being. I have two more bike kits on the shelf and the chain is moulded with the sprockets at either end, so I hope not to have a problem with either one of those.

At that scale it is a real problem.  At a smaller scale something like jewelry chain (HL, Michaels, etc).  But at 16th scale or above you need something that really looks like chain.  My Fiat Mephistopheles came with a great chain, but it was miserable to put together.

 You do that too? P.S. Have you Looked into LEGO parts ? They have at least two chains that might work and they are both from Motorcycle kits. The Technics series!

I have had a couple that were very close to having a fall against the kitchen wall.

In the trade, we refer to those as FIHVIE's: Frustration-Induced High Velocity Impact Events. 

(Though...personally...I get quite a bit more satisfaction from just putting the sucker on the floor and stomping it to component molecules. Very therapeutic!)

Try some traditional clockmakers sites.

Fusee chain might be worth looking at.
