1966 Ford Fairlane

At the moment I'm re-buying building all the cars I screwed up as a kid when I first started model making. This is the first time I've built one of these since about 1994.
I'm trying to rebuild them as I built them then, maybe with a few tweeks.

This is based on one of those models. The only differemnce is my old original one  had white bands , and a tan interior and crap red paint job.

For this I adjusted the front wheels as they stuck out to far. So ive tucked them in  a bit and didn't use the horns, as the prevented the bumper/grill section from sitting right.

Turned out great.  It would be fun to look at all our old models we did as kids but I have no idea what happened to mine.  I  have that kit in the stash - I'll make a note of the horns.  Nice job.

Thanks,

John

Stunning work!  That paint looks so deep and glossy.  I miss the cars of this era.

I would also adjust the front wheels as well. Reduce the width of the front axle, widden the hole of the hub, and trim off the petruding inner ring off the back of the hub.
