In fact I'm looking at other options, have another pair of TRAX, I have a snap kit Revell Smart Car on the shelf, and on seeing this image may try that,

And of course there are also snowmobiles like this..

Thanks Gamera, yes we need to look further. The Russians built a lot of Aersans some decades ago, both military and civilian with van and car bodies with an aircraft radial engine on the back. All for use on snow..
