Thats fantastic. I like all the modifications that you did. The way you mounted the headlights is great. If this was your first attempt at this type of modeling you did a fantastic job at it.
ctruss53 Thanks Tim. I appreciate the compliments. And it was great to see you at the show.

Tim Kidwell I just saw this car up close and personal over the weekend at NNL North. Putting Chad's modesty aside, he's one heck of a modeler, and this is a terrific first attempt at kitbashing a hot rod. Great job, Chad!

I keep hitting "escape", but I'm still here.
Here is the result when a Modeler thinks outside of the box!very cool indeed!
Thanks for the kind remarks everyone.
I was a bit iffy about the headlight mounts. They look a bit thin to me. But they are about 5/8" to 3/4" in scale. I could see someone taking some 3/4" tubing and making little headlight stands.
Oh man that is cool. I like the headlight treatment! A long long ways from stock.
Thanks,
John
Just scrolling down; nearly finished for the day an hour and 15 mins to go, and this caught my eye and i had to say very nice looking model.
Eugene Rowe Interesting modification!I like the maroon color!
Interesting modification!I like the maroon color!
Thank you!
I looked it up. The color is Mission Models Rotbraun RAL 8012
The color is actually lighter and a little more red when applied. But it darkened as I added clear. I was pretty pleased with the results.

I finally finished this kit. Now I know why I like to stick to the kit and just add detail. I am not great at modifying models.
Having said that, this is not the greatest job I have done on a kit. But I like how it turned out.
The paint in from Mission Models, It is an RAL color with Mr Super Clear on top. Wheels are Splash Paints BBS Gold, over black primer to darken them up a bit. The wheels and tires are from the newish Revell 29 Model A. And all chrome you see is SMS Hyerchrome Cold Tone.
