 That is one excellent save! Congrats! Sometimes, I find the rebuilding or salvaging a forgotten and neglected model car more fun than building a New one! certainly more satisfying!

Very well rebuilt! Chromework and paint look fantastic. I am unable to make BMF appear that way. Depressing Continue your fantastic work.

Nice rebuild! Paint & Chrome work look great. I can't get BMF to look like that. Sad Keep up the good work.

I bought this back in 2014ish off ebay built up. It was a sportsroof model and the previous owner had totally chopped all the top off.Window frame and all. So they decided to make a crude window frame and just a piece of slightly bent clear plastic for the window. 
It was painted in blue ( pics below) with all faded chrome. 

Anyway, I stripped it all down, bare metal foiled the bumpers. I cut away the windshield section from a 70 Four door body shell and made my own front windshield to .

This had had 3 coats of paint before mine. When removing the paint, I could see gold, red, and then blue. 

Anyway, here she is. Not perfect but 100 % better than when I first got her.
