Well thanks guys, very much appreciated. Now as were moving house soon, I think I'll give model-making a rest.

Nicely done Pat-great job on the chrome trim.

Reminds me of the old Ed'Big Daddy' Roth t-shirts with auto caricatures from the 60's.

I need to add this kit to my 'search' list.

Nearly done as I've messed up in various places as it is 1/32 scale and my hands shake. I had to add a piece of plasticard to both front wheel openings as there was nothing but the thin resin floor to attach them to.

So to finish, just both front wheels and two flaming exhausts!

I think it looks great Pat - certainly has that over the top cartoon drawing hotrod look

Thanks,

John

Pat-looks good but I understand not being totally happy-I think with the tires & smoke it will give it a different look.

That's going to look great Pat.

I used to drag race a '53 Chevy Bel Air Convertible with a '54 Chevy grill like the one in the model (without the top, hood scoop and large rear tire of course Wink).

Stay safe.

A Tarpit Toons/Jimmy Flintstone/Testors 1/32 resin kit, from a few years back.

The base has a thick layer of resin that needs to come off..

After a couple of hours with a hachsaw blade.

The body and hood scoop and the tyre smoke, plus a little filler here and there.
