Tanker-Builder

So!

Put one powerplant in front and the other in the rear!

That car existed.

As I said earlier, that's the very big problem! Go camping somewhere, return and can't find it. I would have to get once of those beeper buttons, to press and wait to see which direction it comes from!

WellGee!

I was walking and could've swore I saw a car. Those bushes are sure shaped odd. Nice camo job. Question? When one leaves it to go for a walk, how do they find it coming back? Power ? , how about a Wankel?

Looks great Pat! If you took it camping in the woods it could really drop out of sight.Wink

Well it's finished! I had to fit a truck mirror to see behind around the camper shell, but looking at it perhap some sort of stabilizers on it incase it tries to fall over on tight corners.

Yes Jim, someone else suggested a bit more power, but I don't have a V8 available, plus a gearbox and running gear and back axle, just not the room to do it. I thought about in reality, I could have used a Honda Turbo FWD 4 cylinder engine with 250 BHP with front wheel drive!

Looks nice Pat! Would a small flathead V8 fit up front? Looks like enough room there if you remove a little of the fender well. Nothing elaborate, just something to give it a little uuummmppphhh.

Stay safe.

Nearly, nearly, I thought of woodying it but with the 600cc engine it would never move! It looks grubby so I will have to come up with something! It will have an 'L' shape edging trim around most of it, and superimpose a rear door as well.

Yes you will just have to take a long run at any hills, maybe a few miles. If a truck is passing throw a chain to hook on the back of it!

Hey, I like what you are doing here!

Question though. As an R.V. won't the structure have a deliterious effect on speed, leaving us again with the question of pushing it uphill in gear ?

Hi Pat!

I got to drive one about four years after the good folks in California decided to out fit cars with the first smog systems. Getting on the 5 freeway at 3;30 in the afternoon for the trip home scared me worse than I ever was in Viet Nam, Then, when I got home to the U.S., the big Semis would almost blow us off the road! Myself and my three passengers could've got out and pushed us faster!

No Tanker-Builder, I've not seen one in the flesh, but wouldn't mind trying to drive one! Yes I can imagine it would be something that you would never forget in a hurry!

Update:  I couldn't think of anyway to construct a camper shell other than on the base vehicle.

This is the high-tech template for the camper sides, I've yet to work out how to cut for windows!

If you're going 'food truck' the HY would be a much more practical choice.

Camper might be interesting. Propeller
