I think I am inflicted with Chevelle disease....
... or just obsessed!
Back in the late 70's I owned a 1968 Chevelle SS 396 with a TH400 transmission, Rally Red, with a black vinyl top and black hood stripes and accents. I loved that car! However, due to financial reasons and a feud with my parents about how many cars I could have, I sold it for dirt cheap. Big mistake!
Now to this day! I have mostly been a military aircraft builder but needed a change of pace. I dabbled a bit in a few tanks but was drawn to cars and trucks. Now I am into cars and trucks, and of these, the cars are all of the 60's and 70's and belong in the classic muscle car genre. There are Pontiac's, Dodge's, Plymouth's and so on in my stash but the majority seem to be Chevy's! In the chevy line I seem to have the most of in Chevelle's. There are 4 1968 Revell kits, a 1969 Revell kit, 2 1967 Revell kits (one missing some vital parts), 2 AMT kits, a 69 and a 70. I also just won a bid (and paid too much) a 1965 Revell kit just this morning. I am also looking at bidding on a 1966 Lindberg kit. This is a lot of Chevelle's! The other Chevy's in my stash are 2 Nova's and an Impala.
Surprisingly, I never had much interest in 'vettes or Cameros, and any of the Ford products of that era. I am a Ford truck owner but never cared for their cars.
I think the only cure for my Chevelle addiction is to buy more!
