I've built a few and have a bunch more in the stash. The Tamiya kits I've built are well engineered and the suspension generally goes together well. I built a Revell Indy car (not F1 I know but similar) and it was more about painting/planning as the top A-arms were molded with the nose. I suppose it's no differnt than dealing with fiddly steering linkage, sway bars etc on the muscle cars.
Engine detailing is more appealing as the engine is the focal point of a lot of the cars - especially with the cowl off.
