Hey jt

I spent some time in Kuwait and Egypt so I have a feel for what you're going through. But then, no one was shooting at me at the time.

Wish there was some way we could get some kits to you folks, but I don't know if they would allow glue. If you can find out something, let us know... maybe we can pick up some kits cheap to help you guys pass the time. Then when you're done, maybe find some kids to give them too.

Good Luck and God Bless (all of) You.

If it's anything like being stuck on the ship, or stuck in a tent in Bagram, yep!

I'm right there with you both. If I had thought about it, I would have packed some of my stuff and a couple kits in my section's quadcons to help keep my sanity and pass the time here at BAF! The things you think about after the embark is done!
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.

You rule JT!! Kick some butt for us. I have no idea how you may feel right now. But I was on a train ride ride before and there was nothing to do for 12 hours. There were rough times and smooth times. Remember when someone says duck, do so. Take care, pal!

JT,

Thank you for your service.
Here is a link to the Baghdad Model Club

http://s96920072.onlinehome.us/Gal2/1901-2000/Gal1978_BaghdadModelClub_Kalina/gal1978.htm

I know there is not much you can tell us, but feel free to post pictures of tanks, hummers, or anything that us modellers can use as reference. In exchange I can try to model in scale the hard hard work you do in real life.

Take care,

I feel for ya!!! I was stuck on WestPac for a few months. Served four years in the Marines, right in the middle of both Gulf Wars, so I missed all of the action. I salute you, be safe Brother, and come home soon!!!!

jt welcome to the forum. I too salute you and wish I could be there. Heath reasons kept me out. Hope you and your fellow personel do well and finish this situation to a satisfactory conclusion. War is not easy and it is not fun. Unfortunatley sometimes it happens. Stay safe as the others said and try to pass the time by coming on board FSM's ARC's and other sites like this. ARC has a nice discussion board. There is the Eagle Roost I think, another member got me to join over there. Good luck and Goodspeed.. Hope you all come home safely. Take care and may God look after you and your collegues.
