first auto project

I don't know of any websites that have these peticular cars. What I do if it's not a "historical" car (like a classic Ferrari) is look throught the local Auto Trader. I find a car that is similar in year, make, and model as the one I'm building. I call them up saying I'm a builder and I need reference. I've offered a small fee for their time but everyone I have asked refuse money. No one so far has refused their vehicle be photographed. Some even want some of the photos because they'll never see the car again after they sell it. People are usually very nice and some can relate to us model builders because they may have built a few in the past. Hope this helps.
