Looking for information on international 5600 series truck
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, May 28, 2004 5:15 PM
normaly i build armor but i've been toying around the idea of building a truck lately , where i work we build oilfield equipment and the trucks we use are international 5600 series , i want to build a model replica of this

does anyone know any kits of a truck somewhat similar to this , i spent the last month looking all over the place and the only kits i was able to find were older more "square" trucks , idealy it would have a sleeper somewhat similar....it seems most of the kits out there have those sleepers with the big thing on top to improve the airflow on highways.

needless to say the backend will all be scratch built like we do for real (having access to all the production drawings should help with this process tho)

thanks in advance

About the closest I know of would be an Italeri kit of a western star. The hood and such are close. You may be able to leave off the wind deflector and other things. The sleeper on the one that you are wanting to build looks like it would be easier than the bed to scratchbuild. Heres a pic of the Italeri kit.
