thx to all

im excited about building it. lots of modifications: removing headlights, setting engine back through firewall...i want it to be as close to what my dad used to race as possible as it will be a gift, and that includes possibly making decals of his logo "doug's coffin"

perhaps when finished ill post a photo or two!!

thx again!!

if they made all the model kits 24th scale instead of 25 then you would not have these problems but they dont want to make models in bigger scale so u got to do all this work hheeh

depends on the part , match up and take a guess if it will work

if your going for a realistic approach then i would suggest finding or making the correct part in the scale u need

good luck custom models is alot of fun and work

Frontside,
The difference really is minimal, with a 1/25 scale kit subject being 96% the size of a correctly scaled 1/24 scale subject.
If you put that into perspective, that would make a 6 foot man about 5' 11". Not a heckuva lot of difference (provided the kits are correctly scaled in the first place).

Cheers, LeeTree

I think they are close enough that it could work, might take a bit of work on some stuff to get it to fit though. If my calculations are right there is just a .004 difference between the two based on a 1:1 measurement.

hello, my first auto project will be a tough one for me. i can not locate a 1939 chevy/pontiac in the old "altered" dragracing form that my dad used to race. but i did find two monogram kits i want to combine: 1939 chevy "lowrider" (for the body +) and a 1941 willys "gasser"(for the larger tires and suspension +).... but since im new to auto modelling, im not sure if the kits will meld together since one is 1:24 and the other is 1:25

thx
