Bitten by the Love Bug

Ok, saw the new Herbie the Love Bug by Polar Lights in a local shop yesterday. Figure I will wait and see if my favorite shop gets it or Wally World.
Has anyone bought this yet and if so, what are the first impressions? I know it is a snap but looks good. Just wish the sun roof could be built open.

I saw it yesturday at Hobby Lobby. I'm going to pickone up today. Looks cool. From the boxk it looks like the steering is adjustable but it doesn't show if the engine bay opens. It's only 12 bucks and Hobby Lobby is having a half off sale this week! I'll post what's in the box later.

Looks like a pretty good kit. I've just can't to come up with some cool gimmic for it.

Does the kit come with decals or stickers?

How about the scene where the wheel is missing and everyone is hanging out the windows and sunroof trying to keep it balanced.
(I am just going for OOTB Smile [:)])

Unfortunatly, it only has stickers. I don't know why they didn't include waterslides, as they did in their Enterprise and Klingon Battle Cruiser kits. Both the Hood and trunk open, and it has full engine detail.

I am bummed on the stickers. Why not include both like the ST kits but all of the cars I am interested in have stickers only.
Hopefully, CultTVman will get a decal set for this like he has for Ecto 1 and the Mystery Machine.

Is the kit molded in grey plastic ? I built the Scoobie Doo van for my wife who is a big fan and I polished the plastic to a really nice shine. I want to build another and build a subframe with big tires and a monster motor behind the bench seat.
