Honda colors.

I'm currently building Tamiya's classic Honda F1 kit. It's all white on the outside, but what about interior of the engine panels and other removable pieces. And what is that clear rear-facing scoop ahead of windscreen? Should it be clear? The cockpit looks really barren too. I wonder what's missing. As I've said here before, I'm an airplane guy going back to my car modeling roots more and more often these days. Thanks, autophiles.

Here's a site in Japanese (so cancel the request to download the ability to read the text), and it shows the scoop forward facing. It's painted red due to it's location in the Rising Sun, and is probably cockpit cooling.
This site also has links to the other Honda racers.

Thanks. You saved me from a flaw in the kit. Great photos on a subject I could find nothing on. Fine little kit, too.

Sharkskin, Acu-Stion also make 3 detail sets for this kit, one has photo etch (grills, brake details, fasteners, etc), another has the a vac-formd screen and the 3rd has the precision turned inlet trumpets. I'm sure that other companies have produced detail sets in the past too.
