Thanks for the input. :)
Has anyone had experience with Flite-Metal aluminum covering?

I want to skin the "Caravan" after I make the frame.
Not sure how to go about with the riviting also.

Thanks a lot.

If you can't find a 1:1 as lizardqing recommends then take something like the wheels or door of the travel trailer (caravan is how we describe them in this part of the world) for which is easier to estimate the size and use that as a basis to calculate other measurements, test draw and modify as appropriate.

Good luck it will make a nice project

Welcome to the forum. The easiest way would be to get some measurements off the 1:1 trailer and then plug them into one of the scale conversion programs that you can get for free on the net. Other than that you could just try to eyeball it with the car and get it close enough that it looks right.

Model scaling question...
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, July 3, 2004 12:55 AM
Hello. I bought a die-cast 1/18 scale Buick Roadmaster and I want to build a travel trailer for it. I'm not sure how to scale the trailer to the car. Any ideas?

The car.....

Some of the trailers I'm interested in modeling..
