Sidecar racer?

I remember the, I think it was 1/8 scale Hasegawa BMW with sidecar, but it was a WW II German military version. And I've seen military in smaller scales. Don't know if they convert though. I suppose if you have the ambition...

Protar made a 1/9 scale 1961 BMW racer that is available, sometimes on eBay.

Maybe this is your cue to scratchbuild. Check out the April 2004 issue of FSM. The Reader Gallery sections has a nice kit-bashed modern sidecar racer by Peter Downes of Ontario. Cool.
