Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 1:56 PM
i just painted my jagermeister with a testors model master white primer coat, and then i painted it with tamiyas orange paint. the paint in some areas is a rough "fisheyed" finish. is there any way i can sand this off and let that be the final coat?

The one thing you might want to try, is Tamiya's rubbing compount. It takes out small irregularites like nothing else I've come across. Gives a very nice shine to boot! It will sneak into panel lines, etc. So be prepared to clean it out.

But I would guess a longer rubbing would get rid of some of your problem. Take note: it IS abbrasive, even if mild. So raised areas will be worn out till no paint remains if you carry on too long. Ask somebody who's screwed up a perfectly good-looking bike petrol tank by wanting to get it "just a bit more shiny"....Banged Head [banghead]

Hope it helps.
