If ALL other options have been exhausted....the NASM has apparently had some near-miraculous success restoring old a/c tires by soaking them in Armor-All, the commercially available tire restorer/cleaner. Don't know whether it would work with vinyl or not, but as a last resort, it might be worth a try. Good luck.

I'd give Tamiya a shout, Won't cost nothing.
Tamiya USA has a web site and they are pretty good about response.
With all the re-releasing they do they might help.

Request Help with Tires

I am currently rebuilding 30 year old Formula One Racing Kits. Tamiya Ferrari 312b 1:12 Jackie Ickx
On this kit in particular, one front tire has dried out and become deformed and cracked. Does anyone have an idea ho to recreat the exact tire or a place that old kit parts would be available. I would appreciate any ideas. if a picture of the problem would help out let me know and I can post one.
Thanks for the help.
Complete pictures of this kit in it's deteriorated state are available.
