GT40 X-1

Finally got the kit finished last week but still having trouble with the digital camera. However this is a Marsh Models multi-media, 1/43rd kit of the GT40X-1 that McLaren Racing built under contract for Ford in 1965 and raced in twice in Can-Am that year and the end of season Nassau races. It was returned to Ford and metamorphised as the GT40 that won the Sebring 12 hr in 1966.

There were a couple of minor issues with the kit (see if you can identify one obvious uncorrected error) but overall a nice build.Smile [:)]Smile [:)]

HEY,
Couldnt tell ya what the mistake is, but the kit looks pretty good. You did an awsome job on the interior.

I'm not sure if it's an error or not but the steering colum on the right always looks a bit odd to us Canadians. It's a great looking build thanks for the pics.

Thanks Guys. When enlarged the first photo is about twice the size of the model!

You got it rockabillyratrodz. This is not an uncommon fault with resin kits, something is slightly out of shape. Usually placing in hot water and bending back to shape works but this time I forgot all about it!! The vacform screen is not the best part of the kit,its slightly small in all directions

Great job. I have yet to try out a braile scale car kit myself.
