I had a buddy with an IROC Z when I lived in MD... he always wanted to race me in my 4x4 and laughed... until the first time it snowed REAL good... and I told him "I'll race you UP that hill" he laughed and never asked again....

240sx isnt a bad car... an ex-gf had one and it wasn't a screamer but it held its own.. and comfortable too...

My first car was a '69 Chevelle SS396 and badda$$... too bad it got 8 gallons to the mile... (not mpg, but gpm) but it sucked on the road... high speeds had the inevitable sway in the suspension that made you afraid of flying.,.. slow speeds with the custom suspension and raised rear end made it a ROCKY ride... go for comfortable.... your girl will thank you...

dont get me wrong the car was a major RUSH.... but for every day stuff it sucked...

On the rainy day I took it home. It's been mistaken for a Viper and a Porsche Big Smile [:D] even by people who should know better. Tonight. I just got a respectful greeting from a guy driving a 289 AC Cobra like this onenot likely a kit car. Loud and aggressive exhaust, barely legal, I'm sure!

I think this topic could get overrun by a bunch of mustang freaks....

It's a 68 I'm the 3rd owner, had 98000 on the clock when I bought it. Will be restoring to Trans-Am specs within the year.

I am in the middle of building my new PC and I won't be able to post a photo until next week ( I hope) (Pleese UPS be quick).
But I love your SVT L.T. looks like a a Real King of the Hill. I have a 03 Roush GT, Its Yellow with the stage 2 trim and handleing package. I have installed the supercharger and intercooler myself as well as a roush alum. flywheel. Headers into roush side outs.. I'm up around 375 BHP but this may be conservative. I have to guess my 1/4 mile ETs are in high 11s low 12s.
I have never run it on a track for times but I have smoked a few "Tweaked" Z06 vettes and one of them had a time ticket in the mid 12s. and I had him by a car length going away. It's like I said in another post, they just don't get it. Bang for the buck you can't bet it. And I can still tweak that 4.6 some more.
As I am posting this I'm waiting for a call from a buyer.. I put it up for sale because I want an 05. I did not think I would get a bite so fast.. (2 days) I found out today Roush is doing the 05 in stage 1 and 3 set ups.. I think they are doing a 360 GT also. Our closest Roush dealer is 4 hours away & I'm waiting for their cataloge and I visit on-line. I did not expect to be "In the Market" so soon.
I love the SVT too but Roush has a look only they can do... not as flashy as Saleen but closer to SVT with plenty of bolt on options.

U should wait alittle. the 06 or 07 SVT's are going to have 500 hp stock. Shelby is coming out with Gt350 and Gt500. I use to have a roush too but they are alittle pricey. What kind of supercharger u had in your s2.

Well mines not that fast either but they say the shortest path between two points is a straight line, never have much trouble in that respect.

1969 Toyota Landcruiser FJ55
3.9L inline 6, 145 HP, 217 ft/lbs torque @2000 RPM (thats probably idle speed in that mustang of yours)
Runs on just about anything that remotely resembles gasoline and almost any break down can be fixed by monkeys wacking it with sticks (really easy to work on)
Unfortunately it doesn't get much better milage than tho9900's SS396

Hi L.T.
My ride has a Paxton Novi 1000 w/ air and intercooler.. I think it was best bang for that car. I still have the car but 2 more lookers coming today.
I can't go a year without a toy.. Outside golf and a little fishing and with the kids all grown its my passion. I usually don't drive my car much during snow conditions so I could wait till Spring but not much longer than that. I have a sweet raised and tuned out 88 F 150 4x4 for my winter and daily ride. My CinC house has a 03 Maxima thats good in the snow but it's not nearly as fun to drive as my Pony.
Have you ever drove your SVT in snow???? You don't want to go there.. If you think trapping on a Carrier in Rain and cross winds is tough... Drive your SVT in the snow and ice.. weeeeeeeee. Our State Police used to have 5.0 LXs back in the late 80s and early 90s.. They NEVER had them on the highway during winter conditions. Even w/chains the were death traps.

Oh I forgot to add .. Hey L.T. you talk about big bucks for Roush the SVT is up their too. They must be paying you two stripers pretty good nowdays with a ride like the one you have.. Errr Oh yeh You could pay for that with your Flight pay and HD pay. You must be livin in BOQ, which is really smart and cost effective,. Put more $$ into your ride.
I remember those days well.
But seriously ,it depends on the car you are getting from Roush. They are not nearly as expensive as Saleen or even a Vette or M3/M5 BMW which are also sweet cars I would love to own... The 98 M5 is one of my favorites . And as I'm finding out, the resale is nice with Roush cars.
