Yes you do need to up load them to photobucket or some other host. Then click the insert image icon on the tool bar and paste the url in between the tags.

Welcome to the forums, I look forward to hearing more from you.

Slixx decals carries a line of paints called Black Gold/House of Kolor. Their paint for little E is SG10501 Blue Blood. The spray can is SG105S. www.slixx.com . Also try Model Car World http://ourworld.cs.com/mcwautofinishes/

As far as reference material goes I have a couple of sources. I have two books that I feel are invaluable they are: Stock Car Race Shop, Design and Construction of a NASCAR Stock Car. The other is Race Fans Reference Guide, Inside Winston Cup Racing. Both are written by William Burt. These books are a few years old (the second is now out of print) but they are still very helpful.

I also use the Technical Info link at Modern Motorsports website. They have lots of diagrams for complete wiring and plumbing of the engine and entire car ( all makes currently running ). http://www.angelfire.com/nj4/mm0/tech.html

My other source is driver and team websites. There is no one jackpot of pictures, but most sites have a couple of useful pics.

Thanks for the suggestions, I now have Stock Car Race Shop, Design and Construction of a NASCAR Stock Car, and another book by the same author ("Behind the Scenes of NASCAR??) ordered and on the way as of the 22nd. Also checkin out the links. THANKS A TON!

Also, I will post some pics soon. Do I need to post them at photobucket first, then paste the url here?

I have some pix that was sent to me via e-mail from the Bud Plant. If you want to e-mail me and I will be glad to e-mail them to you. I just happened to come across a thread from another member that had just come from the plant and took the pix himself. If you would like go to the group build thread and check out the auto group build and we would love to have another member join. I am sure that Luke would not mind.

#8 Nascar color and where to find "reference photos" of NASCAR

HEY ITS MY FIRST POST!! Tongue [:P]

I have a #8 kit I will be starting in the near future and am curious how I can go about getting the correct color? (BTW, yes I know its RED!! which red I dont know) Anyone have any ideas? In the meantime, I have been working on my second NASCAR model (unfortunately it is the Cartoon Netwoork car from several years ago) on and off (mostly off) for the last 5 years. I scratch built the headers, driveline, distributor wiring, strut tower braces, and detailed alot of other things. I hope to finish it sometime soon. Will post some pics maybe soon, I DID just get a new Digi-cam.

Also I am looking for links or sites that have good closeup photos of NASCAR engines, tranny's, oil coolers, etc. if anyone knows some.

Thanks in advance for any info.
