                        HEY,
                        Welcome to the forum man. Good to see a new face. or ummmm, screen name. You did spend alot of money, but the kit is well worth it. You could have gotten the revell kit, which is very good, but there arent as many aftermarket things for it. Cant wait to see some pics.

                        Welcome to the forum, there are lots of great people here.

                        Sounds like you don't mess around at all. Getting all those supplies and tools along with an excellant Tamiya kit and PE set...WOW!!! I'm also working on the Tamiya Enzo with SMS PE set (I posted some in progress pics, the thread is a couple pages back now) they make quite a combination.

                        Not for the faint of heart though, talk about sticker shock. It's good to see that you didn't let that stop you. Not everything is that expensive in this hobby. It just so happens you picked the best model maker and aftermarket company as one of your first projects back. I have well over $200 invested in my Enzo, I'm also building Elliot Sadlers M&M's Ford Taurus by Revell-Monogram it cost me a whopping $16.05. Both kits are equally enjoyable to build. The Nascar kit may be more enjoyable since I'm not worried about ruining a $200 project.

                        I'll be looking for some pics real soon, keep us updated.

                        Well, after a long absence, I'm back in the hobby full force. I just bought a 1/24 model of the same car I currently drive: a 2002 Camaro. Anyway, I found a 35th anniversary Camaro kit and painted/detailed it to match my car. Turned out pretty good and it seems as if model building is like riding a bike.

                        O.K. While I was at the hobby shop, I noticed the Tamiya 1/24 Enzo Ferrari, Rossa Corsa and without knowing what I was getting into, bought the kit. Well after doing some research and reading some reviews etc. I am now fully immersed into this wonderful kit. Of course I also bought the Scale Motorsports full detail kit to go along with it. As I had to start from ground zero, I have also purchased numerous tools, paints, thinners, glues, airbrush, compressor etc. etc. etc. I think I have well over $500 invested in these two model kits alone!!! Jeeezzz, I'm amazed at how expensive the hobby has become. Heck, I have never even seen photo etch until now!! Also, I'm still hooked on enamels and have yet to try the acrylics...

                        Anyway, I'm glad to be back and the Enzo is a great challenge to begin with. I'm looking forward to learning many new techniques and sharing some pics etc. Also, I hope to participate in some group builds too.
