I have a soft spot for those older cars... Your models look brilliant! Makes me want to drop the 8 or so projects I have on my desk right now and buy some of those.. Thanks for sharing!

Duesenberg Roadster and 1911 Rolls

Cars aren't my main area of interest but I do build them now and again as a change from planes and tanks!
This is my first 1/24 vintage car, which I finished a few weeks ago (The previous ones I've built are 1/32 from the Airfix series). It's the Monogram 1934 Duesenberg Roadster.

What do you think? Are there any areas needing improvement (that don't involve spending large amounts on aftermarket parts :D ) ?
The model is built "out of the box" though apart from some of the chrome areas, it is fully painted, inside and out. (I found that the model railway colour "BR Crimson Lake" is an -exact- match for the Duesenberg's colour)

Next, here is a car model rather different in a number of ways - it's a 1911 Rolls-Royce built from the
1/32 Airfix kit. This is not as good a model as the Duesenberg - the kit moulds are absolutely ancient, 1954-vintage.
Some of Airfix's more recent (relatively speaking!) 1/32 car kits are quite nice (MG Magnette and Bugatti for example)
but their earlier efforts, as with their aircraft and AFVs, are heavily-moulded with very basic detail. Still, I think
it's a reasonably nice model.
