It's not very comon to see an American rig with a spare tire. Every now and then you will see a tire strapped to the back wall of the cab with bungee cords. Some trailers though do have a tire hanging under them. Guess it is easier to just call out a tire man to come and replace it on the side of the road.

I notice that ALL my European trucks carry a spare wheel. However, the
Western Star or my current Peterbilt 377 A/E do not. Is this common with American trucks?
