Overlooked something in your post, you want a brownish colour you can get that by mixing clear blue and clear orange.

Try it first on a few test pieces takes a bit to get the effect right.

By the way make sure the tamiya light gun metal has been cured enough.

The best colours for simulating the heated look on chromed pipes are Clear Yellow, Clear Orange and Clear Blue & Smoke either gunze or tamiya colors will work fine.

Mix the colours or layer them to get the desired tint.

i am building a side exhaust corvette like the one pictured http://www.ohioconcours.com/2000/00-064.jpg and would like to add a few shades to it http://www.mps-shop.com/motoxtreme/product.asp?mscssid=DUMMYS1GG8VN9HSJN98AXLC91EUJ9DC7&pf%5Fid=698&dept%5Fid=1308 i would like to add a bluish tint tword the end of the pipe, and a brownish color tword the front of the pipe where it connects with the manifold. how would i go about doing this? it already has a coat of tamiya's light gun metal. what bolors do yall recomend? exc..... thanks you.
