                        You could try using a mixture of brown paint and talcum or baby powder. I used it on a Landrover that i did as a beat up farm truck and it looked nice and dirty also you could mask the area covered by the wipers and give it a dust coat of the same brown...Gregers

                        The reason the Testors crazed is this, Testors tan is enamel, Tamiya clear is laquer, it has a stronger or "hotter" base to it, and will cause "cooler based" paints like enamel or acrylic water base paints to wrinkle.

                        Or how about a reason why the Tamiya gloss coat would have made the Testors tan paint buckle?

                        Greetings,

                        I started a RM 1980 Ford Bronco about 3 months ago, got a great teal(automotive paint) and tan(Testors) two tone around the wheel wells, and when I went to gloss coat it with Tamiya gloss it acutally made the Testors paint buckle. Rather that just strip the whole thing down in engine degreaser(being that the @#$%^&*!!! thing is just about done), I figure I can hide the damage with some fender skirts and mud and dirt.

                        The question is, how do I simulate that?

                        Suggestions are appreciated!
