Good Ideas all. Model railroad shops may have fittings for stanchions that will work.

If you are talking about along the chassis, I drill 2 small holes in the chassis on either side of where the brake line is going to go, space them out every couple of inches or so, then shape a piece of small wire into a u shape, stick the ends thru the holes, butt tight against the brake lint on the chassis, then twist the ends together that are on the unseen side of the chassis. Hope this makes sense.

Hi pcmodeler!
Nice to 'see' you out and about.

I like to use that aluminum tape that heating/air conditioning people use. A bit thicker than tin foil and adhesive on one side. You can also use it for engine compartment heat shielding.
If you can find someone with a roll, grab a foot or two as it tends to be expensive. Send me a note and I can put a bunch in the mail for you if you want!

I use "pie plate" aluminum---the stuff you find under bakery items, pot pies, and the like. Very useful stuff, nearly as flexible as foil but with greater strength/thickness. Lots of modeling applications for clamps, levers, data plates, etc.

Recommendations for brake line clamps

Any recommendations for hold down clamps? I'm running brake cable and wondering what to use to simulate clamps that hold the line to the chassis. Don't want to use bare metal foil. Need something thicker.
