Hi Aaron, What a terrific scratch build. You give people like me the courage to leave the custom build and `have a go`.

Thats nice Aaron. That amount of scratch and modified building must have given you a lot of pleasure when you can sit back and view it now

That is great Aaron. Something not seen very often. Or ever actually. Pulled it off nicely.

1929 Mountain Fire Truck
Posted by Aaronw on Monday, November 1, 2004 6:42 PM
I got the idea for this from an old photo of a fire in So California dated 1940

This is a United States Forest Service Mountain Fire Truck, it uses Revell's 1/25 3 in 1 1929 Model A kit "Rat Rod". The fire equipment is built from styrene stock, wire, brass rod and washers. The hand tools and indian pump can are from Model Truck and Fire Apparatus Co. The red light on the hood is something I cast from resin and I made the decals using photoshop and my printer. This was my at the wire entry in the emergency vehicles group build, since I couldn't finish my other projects in time. Hope you like it.
