Cheers for those replies folks. Glad to know that I'm not the only one that thinks the 1/12 decals don't go with a 1/12 kit! I thought there was something wrong with my eyes.!

Definitely 1/24 scale CF decal is the way to go. Even Tamiya is supplying CF decal in wrong scale with othe kit.

Try this website, all kinda good info on building bike models. I'm going to try the C/F decal on my next RC211V (Rossi's 02 Repsol) and see what I end up with. That'll give me a little dry run for my M1 which Hoby Link Japan has shipped TODAY!Big Smile [:D]

Which Carbon Fiber decal?

Hello everyone. This is my first post on here so be gentle with me!

After experimenting with my first sheet of Composite fiber decal on my last build (Rossi's NSR500 1/12) I found the decal to be slightly too big in scale related to the model size. Don't get me wrong, the effect these decals give is pretty impresive, but IMO I thought they were slightly oversized. I was using the 1/12 twill weave pattern.

I will be starting a new build within the next few weeks (another 1/12 bike) and was wondering if any of you guys could recommend a scale to buy another sheet of carbon decal in? I was thinking of 1/24 but then though that might be TOO small. 1/20??? I know this is a bit of a silly question, but was just wanting to check with the wealth of knowledge that seems to reside on these boards.

Want to get it just right especially for the new Tamiya Yamaha M1 kit that we're all waiting for!

Thanks in advance
