Did you pick that up at the show today? I saw a few of those huge kits and figured there was no way I would want to try it.

Give this site a try. It has many great pics of Ferraris for help with detailing.
This link takes you right to a 288.

Go to www.scaledetails.com for a really nice 1/16 photoetch detail set. I picked one up and it has enough parts for my 288 GTO and the Italeri F40 along with many more left-overs!

One quick question, I am thinking of picking up a 1/16 scale kit to rip some parts out of it.

That is the diameter(size) of the wheels and tires?
If you can let me know in the metric system I would appreciate it, if not I will do my own conversion.

If the size works out it might safe me a few headaches.

The measurements of the wheels and tires from the 1/16 Ferrari 288 GTO are as follows:
Front wheel - 25mm Dia. / 14mm Width
Rear Wheel - 25mm Dia. / 19mm Width

Front Tire - 39mm Dia. / 17mm Width
Rear Tire - 39mm Dia. / 22mm Width

Does this help?
